Engineering culture · for CTOs & architects

Software engineering standards, not promises.

How we design, test and change production systems without stopping the business that runs on them — the same way in year five as on day one.

Proven in production

We change systems that are already running, without stopping them.

Products that already have users and revenue can't pause for a rewrite. The business keeps running while the system underneath it changes.

Scaling a database without replacing it

A database slowed down as data and traffic grew several times over. We fixed it with query optimization, indexes, read replicas, caching and asynchronous operations, mostly in the backend. The hard part: fewer database requests while still returning current data.

Automated · reversible

Moving to the cloud one customer at a time

On-premise installs or an old platform move to the cloud as a sequence of small automated steps: customers move one by one, each move is validated, and any of them can be rolled back. Most of the work happens before the first move, in the target architecture and the migration plan.

Hardening security on a running platform

Least-privilege access, network segmentation and service isolation introduced step by step on a live production platform, without stopping it, through to a passed ISO 27001 audit.

Replacing sign-in without locking anyone out

New sign-in and access control rolled out under a live system: users are migrated without losing their access, the role model is tested against real edge cases, and sessions stay secure through the switch.

Standards

What stays the same on every project.

One failing service doesn't take the product down

Queues, asynchronous processing and loosely coupled services contain failures and absorb traffic peaks. Event sourcing and CQRS come in where they pay off, not by default.

Releases stop being a risk

Every change gets a senior review and automated tests before it reaches production, and a bad release can be rolled back. The pipeline is below.

Security is designed in, not audited in at the end

Sensitive data is encrypted and kept out of logs and analytics, production access is limited to the people who need it, and public APIs are tested by independent pentesters.

Reference architecture

The pattern we start from.

A zero-trust edge, an asynchronous core and AI as a governed layer, not a bolt-on. Adapted to each domain, never reinvented for each project.

Technology

Chosen per problem, not per habit.

Proven over fashionable
Technology that has run in production for years, not whatever is new this quarter.
Your team can own it
Popular, well-documented tools you can hire for, so the system never depends on us.
Sized to the load
The simplest architecture that handles today's load and the next step of growth.
Your stack first
In an existing system we work in the stack you already have, and change tools only for a measurable reason.
